Logo Casa Lucciola
Nestled in the heart of Verdicchio di Matelica

From a small farm, cultivated with the idea of a good agriculture,

the Verdicchio grapes, in the seasons of Nature,

become the history, the tradition, the "terroir" of Verdicchio di Matelica.

Casa Lucciola is a naturally fermented wine that every year,

in every sip tells something more ...

Casa Lucciola 430 mt. above the sea

The view you can enjoy from Casa Lucciola is absolutely gorgeous. In front of us a narrow valley stretches from north to south, surrounded by low and soft hills on which the gaze sweeps up to reach the distant peaks of the Sibillini mountains. On the back the landscape is instead dominated by the San Vicino massif, a peak that stands out among the others and is at the same time a natural barrier to the influence of the sea. On the ridge of one of these gentle hills, surrounded by vineyards, is Casa Lucciola. We are in Matelica, in the Marche region, home of Verdicchio D.O.C. It is here that the Cruciani family takes care and manages, with passion for good agriculture, a small farm, and since 2018 has been producing and bottling Verdicchio di Matelica D.O.C.

What Mother Nature makes available is the core of everything that is produced at Casa Lucciola. Located at 430 meters above sea level, Casa Lucciola is above the fog line and enjoys good ventilation all year round. The soil texture is mainly clayey, rich in active limestone which allows the production of savory and full-bodied wines. The valley enjoys a continental microclimate with strong temperature variations between summer and winter and between day and night, ideal conditions for growing grapes.
